Screen Reader Bug Tracker

Welcome to the Accessible Android Bug Tracker

A comprehensive database dedicated to cataloging Android bugs that affect blind and low vision screen reader users. Our primary goal is to raise awareness among users about issues encountered while using TalkBack or Jieshuo (CSR). We also aim to assist Google developers and the developer of Jieshuo in addressing these bugs more effectively and promptly.

Important Notes:

  1. This section of Accessible Android compiles accessibility-related bugs associated with TalkBack and Jieshuo, identified by the Accessible Android Editorial Team or reported by members. We encourage you to submit your bug reports to enhance the reliability and usefulness of this resource.
  2. Please note that the database cannot be claimed as entirely complete or accurate. Testing every device, Android variant, application, and use case is beyond our capacity.
  3. When submitting a bug report, please provide detailed information, including the screen reader version, Android version, your phone model, and any other relevant details that can assist in accurately tracking the issue. In the case of TalkBack, please specify if it is Google TalkBack or Samsung TalkBack. All of these details can be typed into the “Version” field.
  4. The bug report submission form is presented as a web dialog, which can be closed by pressing the Escape key.
  5. Certain screen readers, such as NVDA, may encounter difficulties in reading the labels for the controls within the bug submission form. If this occurs, using the Arrow keys may help in accessing the label information.
