Accessibility and User Comments:
Anytime is accessible, has been tested with TalkBack and will adapt some areas of the UI when it detects that TalkBack is enabled. As the developer of this app, I know there are always improvements to be made, particularly with so many Android devices, versions and TalkBack versions to support, and I am working to improve the accessibility of Anytime with each update.
Editor's note:This app is 100% accessible as far as we could tell. Not only is everything labeled correctly, but the app is laid out in a way that is very compatible with screen readers. For example, there are very few swipes between items. When going through a podcast episode list, you only have to swipe once between each episode without having to swipe past additional controls like play or download. Also, actions are supported in certain places. You can use actions on the home screen to play the most recent episode, play the first unplayed episode, and also add to your up next queue without actually having to open the podcast page. And there are actions on items in the up next queue for moving items in the playlist up or down, or to the top or bottom.
Pop -up menus in the app are designed to work great with screen readers. Anytime you explore to an area that is not in the menu (or swipe past the last menu item), it puts that area in focus as a dismiss menu button. When adjusting settings such as whether or not to display the new episodes or unplayed episodes count, it is not only a visual indicator that is added, but the labels also relay this information for screen reader users.
