AI ASSISTANT

Meet Brave Leo, the smart, free AI assistant in your browser. Ask answers, get answers, translate languages, and more. Leo doesn’t record or share your chats, or use them for model training.

Brave Search

Brave Search is a complete, independent, private search engine. It doesn’t track you, your searches, or clicks.

What I like about Brave is that it lets you play videos in the background, including YouTube videos, and it has some other YouTube-related settings such as disabling ads, completely blocking video suggestions, and disabling shorts.

Accessibility and User Comments:

Being a Chromium-based browser, Brave is accessible from the core but has a major accessibility issue that has yet to be fixed for a long time.

When you want to open the browser options by pressing the customize button at the bottom right, a menu appears but quickly disappears when you try to swipe through options with TalkBack. The only workaround is to use CSR and apply the direct click function so that you can see the menu and customize settings according to your preferences. Once you can display the menu, go to settings, tap appearance, and turn off the switch for the bottom toolbar. This will move the toolbar to the top of the screen, just like in Google Chrome.

Last Tested App version and Android version:

1.68.128. Android 14
