Notally is a minimalistic note taking app with a beautiful material design and powerful features.

Organization

Privacy
There are no ads, trackers or analytics of any kind. All your notes are stored completely on and never leave your device.

Permissions

show notifications, run foreground service
Used to display a notification if deleting images or importing backups takes time.

Prevent phone from sleeping, run at startup
Used by the auto backup feature to ensure backups keep happening even if your phone is restarted.

Note
Due to a bug on Xiaomi’s part, some MiUI devices might not be able to access the text formatting options.

All translations are crowdsourced, email the developer to contribute or point out any errors.

Accessibility Notes:

The app is generally accessible. I haven't found unlabeled buttons, except for the back button, which TalkBack can still identify. When navigating the list of notes, TalkBack announces the selection state of each note (not checked/checked). Long pressing a note selects it, and double tapping selects additional notes. Options such as Pin and Share appear at the top of the screen. The delete option is located in the "More Options" menu, along with other options. Backup options can be found in the navigation drawer, under "Settings." There, you can enable automatic backups, manually export a backup, and import a previously exported backup file to restore it. When exporting a backup, tap "Show Roots" to access other directories like Google Drive.
