PlayNook Interactive Audiobook is an interactive audiobook and story-game app where you listen to narrated stories and make choices that shape what happens next.
Professional voice actors narrate the story while music and sound design build the scene. At key moments, the story pauses and asks you to choose what to do. Choices can be made by tapping or speaking aloud.
How it works
- Listen: Follow narrated stories with voices, music, and sound design.
- Choose: Make decisions at key moments. Some choices are timed, require an item, or permanently affect the story.
- Roll the dice: Some actions use a virtual 20-sided die. You can tap it or say “Roll the dice!”

Accessibility and User Comments:
The user interface is completely accessible with TalkBack. The main issue reported during story playback is that the state of the play/pause button is announced as each story segment appears and starts playing. On the submitted Samsung device, TalkBack audio is shifted to the phone's internal speakers instead of remaining on the connected headset with the rest of the audio. When the dice appears, an indicator is announced, but TalkBack does not explain that the dice can be rolled or clearly announce that it has appeared.
