RYFT: A Timely Manor

Welcome to the Nexus Manor, a place that exists outside of time — and in between your ears. RYFT A Timely Manor is an audio-based adventure game played entirely with speech commands. Featuring a full voice cast, challenging puzzles, and a compelling narrative, this mystery game is powered by the greatest graphics engine in the world: your imagination.

Details

  • 1. Navigate freely using commands such as “north,” “east,” “south,” and “west” to move around.
  • 2. Explore various rooms and interact with objects.

  • 3. Pick up and combine items to solve intricate puzzles.
  • 4. Engage in conversation with a fully voiced cast of eccentric characters as you unravel the manor’s secrets—all without lifting a finger.

You awaken in a mysterious mansion that exists outside of time, with no memory of how you arrived. In your pocket lies a curious stone tablet etched with enigmatic symbols.
As you explore the manor, you encounter its eclectic staff—each person seems as trapped as you are, serving an elusive figure known only as “The Master.”
You eventually discover a series of tapes featuring a familiar voice—a girl in distress. She has uncovered that The Master harbors a sinister plan she must thwart. To help her, you must first navigate the labyrinthine mansion and journey back through the doors of time.

Accessibility and User Comments:

The game is fully accessible and readable with your screen reader.

A tip: If you use the Jieshuo screen reader, you can combine Jieshuo's translator and the game's text input feature if you're not very good at English. This way, you can fully enjoy the game even without knowing English.

According to the developer, unfortunately due to a known bug with Android's speech-to-text, the older speech API is broken, so the game can only support Android 13+. Therefore, some devices may be unable to install the game. This is still the case at the time of this post. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.

Note that the game is completely free to play, but if your budget allows, please consider donating to the developer if you want the world of games for the blind on Android to grow larger.

Have fun playing the game!
