Accessibility and User Comments:
The app plays the translated subtitles alongside the video. The text is also displayed on the screen, allowing screen readers to view and navigate it. Tapping any part of the text brings up options such as "Play" to play from that part, "Copy Text" to copy, and "Bookmark" to add a bookmark.
The app is mostly accessible, though it has a few unlabeled buttons, such as the one used to open the navigation menu where settings are located, the share button found after each video in video lists, and the close button for video ads.
After opening a video with captions or sharing it to the app, it starts playing the video along with the subtitles. By default, the app tries to sync the video and subtitles. In addition to the subtitle text, there are tabs at the bottom of the screen. The "Subtitles" tab allows customization of the displayed text and translation language. The "Voiceover" tab lets users adjust voice aspects, specify whether the speech rate is automatic, and control the volume of both the voiceover and the video. Note that selecting voices requires the Pro version. There are also "Info" and "Bookmarks" tabs. On the same screen, there are two unlabeled progress indicators.
as indicated by the developers: in the free mode, Lingvotube allows translation of up to 30% of a video’s duration. After this limit is reached, you will be prompted to upgrade to the Pro subscription. You can continue watching the video in the app; however, the translation functionality will no longer be available for the remainder of the video.
The default tab in the app's main window is "Videos," which includes the "For You" section with recommendations, "Playlists," and "Recents," where recently played videos are listed. In addition to the "Videos" tab, there is a "YouTube" tab that opens YouTube in a web view for searching and playing videos, and a "Bookmarks" tab where bookmarks are displayed.
If you are using the free version, you should be prepared to encounter video ads. Usually, the back gesture closes the ad after it finishes, but sometimes you need to locate the close button, which is unlabeled. During my testing, I did not encounter any ad that I couldn't close using one of these methods.
Sometimes, the video might start playing before the voiceover begins, or the voiceover may miss a part at the beginning. While the app attempts to sync the video playback with the vocalized subtitles, the results are mixed.
I could not find a way to pause playback during my testing. There is no pause button on the screen, and the screen reader's play/pause gesture doesn't work.
The app does not support screen reader actions.
Despite a few issues, the app effectively displays video captions, translates them, and plays them to the user in a fairly accessible way.

Grazie
