Description

Issue Description: When using voice input with TalkBack (version 14 and later), multiple beep sounds play simultaneously, disrupting the typing experience. This issue first appeared in TalkBack 14 and remains unresolved in TalkBack 15.2.
– WCAG 2.2 Guideline: 2.1.1 Keyboard (Level A), 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide (Level A)
Android Accessibility Guideline: Ensure that audio feedback is consistent and does not interfere with other audio or speech output.
– Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable TalkBack 14 or later on the device.
2. Open any app that supports voice input (e.g., messaging app).
3. Tap the voice input button to start dictating.
Expected Result: A single beep sound should play to indicate the start of voice input.
Actual Result: Multiple beep sounds play simultaneously, causing disruption.

Specific Scenarios for Replication: When testing on devices, please pay close attention to these scenarios reported by users, which consistently trigger the multiple beeps:
, a. Initiate voice typing by pressing the Gboard voice input button. While the user is speaking to dictate text, if TalkBack makes any announcement (e.g., “keyboard hidden,” “showing keyboard,” or other UI changes), the multiple beep sounds often begin. Sometimes, these multiple beeps start immediately upon pressing the voice input button, even before any speech or other announcements.
, b. Initiate voice typing and begin dictating. If the user then uses TalkBack’s “Explore by Touch” feature to touch anywhere on the screen (effectively attempting to stop voice input or interact with another element), multiple beep sounds occur. Users report this specific behavior (beeps when stopping voice input via Explore by Touch) did not occur in older, functional versions.
