Voice Commands to Google Assistant Fail When Jieshuo Uses Accessibility Volume Channel |
| ID: 3918Status: ActiveVersion: It affects all recent Google app and jieshuo versions.Report Date: 27 September 2024Product: Jieshuo Screen Reader (CSR) | |

Description The ability to capture voice commands sent to Google Assistant breaks when Jieshuo screen reader is set to use the accessibility channel for its volume. Activating the ‘use accessibility volume’ option in Jieshuo’s settings causes the Assistant to stop recognizing commands through the microphone. This occurs whether using the old Google Assistant or Gemini. Unchecking the accessibility volume option in the main and secondary TTS settings of Jieshuo serves as a workaround, though it may still fail until Jieshuo is force-stopped and restarted, or the device is rebooted. |
