FairEmail is easy to set up and works with virtually all email providers, including Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo!

FairEmail might be for you if you value your privacy. FairEmail is simple to use, but if you are looking for a very simple email app, FairEmail might not be the right choice.

FairEmail is an email client only, so you need to bring your own email address. FairEmail is not a calendar/contact/task/note manager and cannot make you coffee. FairEmail does not support non-standard protocols, like Microsoft Exchange Web Services and Microsoft ActiveSync.

Accessibility and User Comments:

The overall accessibility is excellent, all controls and buttons are correctly labeled. Accessibility actions are supported in the conversation list and message window. However, please note the following: By default, emails are reformatted for security reasons, but this causes the screen reader to recognize the message as one large paragraph. You can avoid this behaviour either by switching to lines in the reading controls, and read the email by swiping from top to bottom. Links are accessible through your screen reader's link menu. Alternatively, a button above the message body can be used to display the original message. In this mode the navigation works as expected. The reformatting of emails can also be switched off completely in FairEmail's privacy settings.

Another restriction concerns the app settings. They are accessible, but even on better devices, TalkBack makes it difficult to work your way through the various tabs as the interface reacts very slowly. However, as you probably will access most of the settings only once, a little patience is certainly worth it.
