Accessibility Notes:

Fully accessible

Though no TalkBack actions have been implemented, Podcast Addict developers have made it fully accessible to the point that I've not been able to find a single unlabeled button in the interface, excluding the Radio Stations section of the app. It is loaded with a multitude of settings and customization options. As it opens, a screen appears containing several buttons or controls. From left to right on the top, they are: Open navigation sidebar, Podcasts, Update, Show/Hide played content, Add new podcast, and More options. Below these we have the following items: Search - which allows users to look for info inside their subscribed podcasts, and a drop-down list which displays subscribed podcast names and episodes. The rest of the screen gets occupied by podcasts which might have been previously added, and the episode whose playback might have been paused.

The app layout, however, gets slightly altered if the app is opened for the first time. Under this circumstance, Podcast Addict will prompt users to import feeds or podcast links, or add podcasts via its extensive search capabilities.

The Settings window can be found by opening the Navigation sidebar, the button which appears on the top left area of the app's home screen. Settings is the last item on the screen. The navigation sidebar also allows users to access alarms, activate the player, go to the Download manager, check the playlist, activate the radio stations, etc. Radio stations are powered by TuneIn, and when a station gets added, the unlabeled button to its right can be used to start, pause and resume playback.

Last Tested App version and Android version:

2023.9 build 21045. TalkBack version: 14.1, on Android 14, Galaxy S23 Ultra
