Accessibility Notes:

The app's overall accessibility is good, although there are quite a few unlabeled buttons, especially on the player screen. However, the latest version of TalkBack detects the icons correctly.

The most interesting feature of Mx player is the ability to use gestures to manage playback. These gestures work for both video and audio content.

By disabling the screen reader, it's possible to swipe with one finger to the left or right to go back or forward in the multimedia file. Alternatively, it's also possible to double tap with one finger on the left or right side, always with the screen reader disabled.

With your screen reader active, you can swipe left or right to get the same effect, but you need to use two fingers. Alternatively, you can use Jieshuo's built-in functions that simulate one-finger swiping.

With the screen reader disabled, you can swipe up or down with a finger on the right side of the screen to increase or decrease the volume. By performing it on the left side, you can adjust the brightness. With the screen reader active, you need to use two fingers. Also here, you can use Jieshuo's built-in functions that simulate one-finger swiping.

Mx player also allows you to swipe with two fingers up or down to adjust the playback speed. In this case, these are native gestures of the app. With the screen reader enabled, it isn't possible to adjust the speed since there is no internal function in Jieshuo that simulates two-finger swiping. Using Talkback, you can perform the passthrough talkback gesture and then you can swipe up or down with two fingers in order to decrease or increase the speed.

With the screen reader disabled, you can hold a finger on the screen to play multimedia content at double speed. When you lift your finger from the screen, the media will play at normal speed. With the screen reader enabled, you will need to perform a double tap then hold on the screen with one finger and you will need to keep your finger on the screen to play at double speed. By lifting your finger from the screen, the media content will play at normal speed.

The app supports subtitles and it allows you to search online for text subtitles in srt format and download them. Once the subtitles are loaded, those who use Jieshuo can take advantage of the element monitoring function to have the screen reader automatically read the loaded subtitles.
