Accessibility Notes:
Accessible with few unlabeled buttons
Though no TalkBack actions have been implemented for this app, TuneIn Radio Pro is quite accessible and the presence of few unlabeled buttons here and there doesn't make it difficult to interact with. The main window of the app offers 4 major tabs at the bottom of the screen: Home, Library, Radio, and Search. The Home tab offers 8 extra tabs whose names appear at the top of the screen: For you, Sports, Radio, News & Talk, Podcasts, Music, By language, and By location. The Car mode and Profile buttons also appear above these 8 tabs.
To initiate a search for a radio station, one can go to the Radio tab from the top of the screen. The Radio tab, accessible both from the top of the screen and from the bottom of the screen, are quite similar, and the top and bottom tabs of the apps essentially duplicate one another, probably for ease of use.
One of the oddities of the app, affecting its accessibility, is that it tends to display unlabeled icons for some radio stations. While TalkBack 14.1 can recognize the text embedded in them, such a nuisance might make using the app a bit challenging for new users. Moreover, as mentioned by many app reviewers, TuneIn Radio Pro is also notorious for not playing stations occasionally for no apparent reason.
