Samsung Galaxy A34 Review

Samsung’s A-series has always been a reliable choice for mid-range smartphone buyers. The latest addition to this lineup is the Samsung Galaxy A34. In this short Samsung Galaxy A34 Review, I’ll delve into the accessibility and overall performance of this intriguing device.

Set up screen is familiar

The initial setup screen of the Samsung Galaxy A34 closely resembles that of recent Samsung smartphones, making it a familiar and user-friendly experience. If you’d like to get an audio walkthrough, you can refer to John’s unboxing video of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, as the setup process is quite similar. It’s worth noting that this phone supports dual SIM cards, although it does not offer support for E-SIM.

One of the notable aspects of the Galaxy A34 is its inclusion of the full OneUI experience. This means that users can enjoy all the benefits and features that come with Samsung’s OneUI interface, providing a rich and customizable user experience.

Moreover, Samsung has made a commitment to software support for the Galaxy A34. According to reports from Sam Mobile, the company pledges to deliver four major OS upgrades during the device’s lifetime, ensuring that users can stay up to date with the latest software enhancements. Additionally, Samsung guarantees five years of security patches for the Galaxy A34, promising a secure and protected user experience over an extended period. This commitment to long-term software support adds significant value to the Galaxy A34, making it an attractive choice for those who prioritize ongoing updates and security.

Impressive Performance and Accessibility

I opted for the A34 model with 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM, and I must say that its performance has left me pleasantly surprised. Powered by the Dimensity 1080 processor, the A34 delivers a satisfying overall performance, making everyday tasks smooth and effortless.

Although the fingerprint sensor may take a bit of getting used to initially, with a little practice, you’ll find that it unlocks the screen swiftly and accurately.

Sound Quality and Audio Experience

While the A34 boasts stereo speakers, I found the sound output slightly lacking at maximum volume. However, this is a minor gripe, especially considering I transitioned from the Samsung S23+. The absence of a 3.5mm headphone jack might disappoint some users, but with the growing prevalence of wireless headphones, it’s a trend many smartphone manufacturers are adopting.

Battery Performance

The A34 supports a 25W charging speed, which, compared to some flagship devices, might seem a tad slower. Personally, having recently used the Xiaomi 12T Pro with its lightning-fast charging, I noticed the difference. Nonetheless, the A34 compensates with a generous 5000 mAh battery that easily provides nearly two full days of battery life under normal usage conditions. This robust battery performance ensures you can stay connected without constantly searching for a charging outlet.
