How to Turn off Talkback,If you accidentally Turned it on?

TalkBack is an accessibility service that helps blind or visually impaired users to use Android phones, who have difficulty seeing the screen of their phones.

This article explains how to turn off if you accidentally activated Talkback.

Have you accidentally turned Talkback on? Do not worry. You can easily turn it off by following the steps below.

 

Note: This article is for people who do not need TalkBack service, namely sighted users.

TalkBack is an accessibility service for visually impaired users offered by Google.

If you accidentally turn TalkBack on, you will think that your phone does not respond to your touches or seem to have a problem.

But it’s okay, you can turn it off again after a few seconds.

Method 1.

Press and hold both volume keys together for a few seconds; You will hear your phone saying “TalkBack is turned off.

This is the easiest solution for your problem.

Method 2: a Bit Complicated Way

First you need to keep the following in mind:

Normally you use 1 finger to scroll, but now you will have to use 2 fingers to scroll.

Normally you touch once on what you want to open, but now you will have to touch twice to activate an item.

Then let’s start.

  • Find the Settings icon and tap twice.
  • Find accessibility settings.

Accessibility can be found in the main settings screen On some phones, it is under “Additional Settings” on some phones like Xiaomi, while on some phones it can be found under “System” settings. Touch twice to activate accessibility settings.

  • Find TalkBack and tap twice to activate it. If you can not see TalkBack directly under accessibility settings, you may need to click “Vision” or “Visibility Options” on some phones.
  • Tap twice on the “Use TalkBack” checkbox to uncheck it.
  • A prompt will pop-up on the screen asking to stop TalkBack.
  • Tap twice on OK. That is all.

Another thing you can do is to deactivate the Volume button shortcut so that Talkback does not start after an accidental press of them at the same time.

Now TalkBack is turned off and you must be using your phone as before.
