Lock Touch Function in Jieshuo Screen Reader

“Lock touch” is one of the functions offered by the Jieshuo screen reader. When enabled, the “Lock touch” function blocks all screen touches, including screen element touch exploration and activation, as well as onscreen gestures. This function might be useful in certain situations when the user doesn’t want any screen interaction.

How to use “Lock touch”

As “Lock touch” is a Jieshuo function, it can be activated either from the main menu, by assigning a gesture to it, or by using Jieshuo’s “Voice assistant.” After activating the function, all onscreen touches and gestures will be blocked. This extends to the lock screen. However, actions assigned to the volume keys are not impacted. To disable touch blocking, the user must use the simultaneous volume pressing gesture, which means that one volume key is pressed and then immediately the other volume key, then they are released together without waiting.

Another method to disable the function is to use the accessibility shortcut key combination assigned to activating Jieshuo. If the user has assigned one, they can turn Jieshuo off and then on again to disable the touch locking effect.
